Academic Projects:

Profitability Assessment for Business Lines

Analyzed the profitability of business lines to evaluate their ability to meet a 20% target profit rate. Calculated actual profit margins and identified actionable changes needed to achieve the goal, contributing to strategic decision-making and improved financial performance.

Performance Measurement Dashboard Using Tableau

Designed a Tableau dashboard to compare the performance of two distinct businesses. Analyzed profitability, liquidity, and solvency ratios to provide insights for decision-making and performance improvement.

Profit Drivers Analysis Using Business Analytics Tools

Collaborated with a team to analyze sales data  and investigate factors impacting profitability. Created queries to aggregate data using SaaS and Knime, reducing record sets and addressing duplication issues. Applied multiple linear regression and regression trees to identify key profit drivers, providing actionable insights for leadership.

Tableau-Based Business Analytics Project

Developed a comprehensive data analysis and visualization project on top-performing S&P stocks using Tableau. Created visually appealing dashboards, presented insights via a recorded presentation, and delivered an 8-page professional report detailing the project process, analysis, findings, and critical implications.

E-Scooter Program Budget Plan for City of Vancouver

As part of a team of 5 in the UBC Project Management Certificate Program, I was responsible for developing the budget component of Vancouver’s E-Scooter program project. Delivered aggregated budget totals by WBS branch and time period, incorporating contingency plans, management reserves, and detailed cost estimates. Collaborated with the team on other key project deliverables, including schedules, risk registers, and an executive summary, which we presented to the executive committee.

Board Game Development Using Agile Practices

Collaborated with a team of 5 to design and develop a board game using Agile methodology. Activities included creating personas, defining a vision, and drafting an Agile Charter during Sprint 0. Iteratively developed playable increments in two sprints, incorporating feedback from peers and an Agile coach to refine the game and maximize value delivery.

Sales Performance Dashboard Using Power BI

Developed a comprehensive sales and profit dashboard by country (France, England, Germany, Italy, USA, Canada) as part of the UBC Business Intelligence Certificate Program. Shaped and transformed data sources, manually created relationships, and calculated key metrics like total sales, profit percentage, and year-over-year growth. Designed visually appealing pages with cards, slicers, matrices, maps, and charts, ensuring usability and insights delivery through custom tooltips and themes.

Supply Chain

As a Senior Business Analyst, I played a key role in creating a new business line for a Crown Corporation. This involved implementing the full Oracle E-Business ERP suite and mapping supply chain processes to ensure seamless user adoption and operational efficiency. I led process mapping strategies, conducted stakeholder analysis to align cross-functional teams, and delivered comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs). Additionally, I collaborated with SMEs, Deloitte, and IT Development Partners to successfully bridge current and future states, ensuring optimal project outcomes.

Health Care

As a Business Analyst, I led the mapping of Finance and HR processes to enhance operational clarity and efficiency. Using SaaS-Promapp, I designed and implemented payroll processes to streamline operations. Leveraging SQL, I extracted data from the PeopleSoft ERP system to produce accurate weekly reports for the Finance leadership team, shared via SharePoint. Collaborating with internal teams, I developed and updated forms to support payroll processes and delivered training on systems to ensure smooth operations. Employing BABOK techniques, I facilitated workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements, identify gaps, and implement successful future states. Additionally, I created templates, job aids, and training documents to support the finance/payroll team effectively.

Medical Technology Company

As a key contributor to multiple PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) projects, including version upgrades, localization, and FDA certification, I played a critical role in ensuring system quality and compliance. I created functional and UAT test cases, set up test environments by installing servers and applications, and conducted gap analyses between PACS versions. I verified and tested change requests, developed use cases and user stories for roles like administrators and radiologists, and performed monitor calibrations. Additionally, I led or participated in functional testing, monitored project risks, and documented issues accurately. As an SME for the localization project, I ensured all solutions met the specific needs of stakeholders.

Banking

In the banking sector, I led onboarding training for high-profile corporate clients, ensuring seamless integration and user adoption. I managed the Agile delivery of key projects across three regions—America, the Middle East, and Hong Kong. These projects included enhancing payment types such as direct payment (MT103), Inter-Account Payments, and ACH (Automated Clearing House), as well as balance reporting, trade processes, and customer authentication. I facilitated regular meetings with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, remove impediments, and ensure successful delivery, serving as the single point of contact throughout.

Driving ERP Success for Growing Businesses

Assisted clients with ERP implementation projects, focusing on solutions tailored for small to midsized companies. My role involved collaborating with clients to understand their unique requirements and ensuring the ERP system was configured to meet their business needs. I was responsible for configuring modules and updating tax files to ensure compliance with local regulations. Additionally, I provided comprehensive technical support throughout the implementation process, addressing challenges and ensuring smooth system adoption for end-users.
